Bobby Langley

Bobby Langley

Bobby Langley, originally from Louisville, Kentucky, grew up in Scott County and was on track for a football scholarship until an injury redirected his path. Embracing this challenge, he apprenticed with blacksmith Charlie Hodges, honing his skills in the farrier business at Gainesway Farm and beyond. After taking over Hodges' business, Bobby expanded his expertise by collaborating with top horsemen and veterinarians across the U.S. He spent over 40 years at Taylor Made Farm, starting under the legendary Joe Taylor and working with leading thoroughbred operations. Bobby has had the privilege of working with high-profile horses like Curlin, American Pharoah, California Chrome, Justify, and the uniquely named Stand Still. He has expertly managed the care of million-dollar yearlings, champions, and leading sires throughout Central Kentucky. Now residing in Lexington with his wife Beverly, Bobby takes pride in his family, with three sons living nearby.
